Realized Price
The actual price an oil and gas producer received for its production, per barrel or per barrel-of-oil-equivalent, after the discounts and premiums that separate a wellhead barrel from the headline benchmark (WTI or Brent) -- transportation, quality, and location differentials. It is the true revenue-per-unit the company earned, and the gap to the benchmark (the "differential") is a key regional signal: producers in takeaway-constrained basins receive sharply lower realized prices. A crucial distinction is whether the figure is before or after hedging: an UNHEDGED realized price shows the market a producer actually sold into, while a hedged price reflects derivative gains and losses, so the two are not compared directly.
