What is an analysis credit, and what happens if I hit my cap?
An analysis credit is the meter behind every research action. Most actions cost 1 credit (a stock page, a news article, a single filing). Heavier actions cost more: a screener run is 50, an AI chat or 13F lookup is 10, a fundamentals or BDC fetch is 5. Lessons, watchlists, portfolio updates, and price alerts are always free and never count. When you hit the cap, paid features pause until the next billing cycle; your portfolio, watchlist, and lesson progress remain fully accessible. Investor and Power User both include unlimited analysis credits.
Can I switch plans mid-month?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and you’re only charged the prorated difference for the remainder of the billing period. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.
Where does the data come from?
SEC EDGAR for filings, FRED for macroeconomic series, U.S. Treasury for the yield curve, FINRA TRACE for bonds, and Financial Modeling Prep for fundamentals. Real-time partners are licensed separately.
What is the Power User tier?

Your most recent alerts up to the new tier’s cap stay active; older alerts pause but stay on file. You’ll get a one-time email summary so you know exactly what changed. Upgrading later resumes the most recent paused alerts up to the new cap automatically — no setup again.
