Is the education really free?
Yes. All 30+ courses, 400+ lessons, quizzes, and progress tracking are free on every tier — including the Learner tier, forever. No credit card required. Paid tiers add AI feedback, spaced-repetition review, and the professional research suite around the lessons.
Is there a limit on how much data or analysis I can use?
No. Data and analysis are free and unlimited on every tier — stock pages, SEC filings, news, screeners, watchlists, portfolio updates, and price alerts. There is no per-month cap and nothing pauses. The only thing that uses a monthly allowance is AI — each tier includes a bundled grant of AI research credits (10 on Learner, 200 on Researcher, 500 on Investor, 1,000 on Power User), and you can add your own API key for unlimited AI at any time. When your AI credits run out, every other feature keeps working exactly as before.
Can I switch plans mid-month?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and you’re only charged the prorated difference for the remainder of the billing period. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.
Where does the data come from?
SEC EDGAR for filings, FRED for macroeconomic series, U.S. Treasury for the yield curve, FINRA TRACE for bond reference data (live trade prints are unavailable — FINRA auth-walled the public feed in July 2026), and Financial Modeling Prep for fundamentals. How often does the data refresh?
Filings and fundamentals are checked daily, so new 10-Ks, Form 4s, and 13Fs appear within a day of hitting SEC EDGAR. Quotes are real-time (sub-second) on Investor and Power User; Learner and Researcher see quotes on a 15-minute delay. Macro series and the Treasury yield curve update on each source’s own published cadence.
How do I delete my account and my data?
Request deletion from your account settings. We cancel any active subscription right away so you stop being billed, then permanently erase your data after a 30-day grace window — long enough to change your mind, after which it is unrecoverable. You can also download a full copy of your data anytime from settings before you go.
Do you offer team or per-seat plans?
The four tiers above are individual plans. If you want shared access for a team or advisory practice — one billing relationship with seats for colleagues or clients — reach out and we’ll set it up. There is no self-serve team checkout yet.
What is the Power User tier?
Unlimited data & analysis, 1,000 AI research credits, the full Python SDK, and access to all 53 MCP server tools so an AI agent (Claude Desktop, Cursor, etc.) can query the same data you do.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your account settings; you keep access through the end of your billing period. No retention questions, no exit interview.
What happens to my price alerts if I downgrade?
Your most recent alerts up to the new tier’s cap stay active; older alerts pause but stay on file. You’ll get a one-time email summary so you know exactly what changed. Upgrading later resumes the most recent paused alerts up to the new cap automatically — no setup again.
